Hamblen Britt & Cravens
Sounds like a law firm name but its the acoustic band I'm playing with and it's so fun.
So Joe Cravens is a friend from many years ago. We met at the Tackle Express where you would go before work and grab coffee and shoot the shit with the guys. We are also UVa guys so that solidified our friendship. I have also used his excellent services as my lawyer. What I didn't know at the time was the guy can play guitar and sing!
So I invited him Over one night to ply with George and I (who had been playing acoustically for years now) He blew George and I away and we discovered that we could sing in 3 part harmony, something I've been longing to do for years.
We played a small party to get our feet wet and for Joe to get the feeling of playing in front of people. He did a marvelous job and we will continue to work on our songs and play out soon, hopefully for the 2023 holiday season.
